Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has released her single titled 'Confidence', a 4:59 minute long song about the believer's faith in God. Produced by Israel Dammy and released under GNT Nation, under exclusive license to MAD Solutions LLC, the song is part of an album she titles 'Elevated'. The audio was released on March 23, 2023 on digital stores while the official video was released on YouTube on March 24th, the next day, reaching 500,000 views within 4 days.

Typically, Mercy Chinwo sings with the powerful vocals of African American church singers, but her music is largely pop hi-life. Songs like 'Regular' which she wrote and published in her early days in gospel music are the mid-to-fast hi-life with significant hi-life guitar. But 'Na You Dey Reign' is a mix of Makossa and Hi-life.

Her latest release 'Confidence' is a mid-to-low tempo South East Nigerian hi-life song. Although some of the background vocals feature a little bit of minor harmonies drawn from soul/jazz, the song is significantly Igbo hi-life.
