The guy who has dragged Sinach to court is Michael Oluwole, known by his stage name Mayolee , formerly Mayo MuziQ. He used to be a music producer, but has become a recording artiste, with songs published in streaming services since 2022 . He introduces himself as a child of God, but leaves himself with the liberty to make both gospel and secular music. What's the Issue? Inside EaZee Conceptz: What's Going on with Nigeria's Biggest Gospel Music Organization?😲
Eazee Conceptz has begun to sneak into the news for unpleasant rumors. The company, which is adjudged to be Nigeria's biggest gospel music organization not owned by a church (like Christ Embassy), has had back-to-back wrong news since early this year, 2023.
This is what leads us to ask the question;
"what is going on with Eazee Conceptz?"
Judikay, Mercy Chinwo, GUC
The company has managed notable gospel music artistes like Mercy Chinwo, Judikay, GUC, Chris Morgan and Chidinma - who was signed straight from being a celebrity secular singer. More recently, names like Mirabel, Esther Oji, Great Daniel and Oluwatosin have been mentioned on their website with their releases placed on the homepage of the site.
Last year their most famous name Mercy Chinwo got married. By 27th March 2023, after she released her latest song under another label, she was reported to have left the label with blogs even claiming that she explained that she had signed a fake contract with Eazee Conceptz which led to her quitting the company. 2 days later, it was confirmed that Mercy and GUC - one of the other leading artistes on the label - had unfollowed each other on Instagram, even posting cryptic messages that seemed to suggest disagreement between the singers.

Now, the latest news from Eazee Conceptz is that Great Daniel, their 14-year-old multitalented worship artiste has left. The young man announced on his Facebook that he is no longer with Eazee Coneptz as his experience with the group "Did not meet my expectations". In another post carried by a publisher known as Min Joe & the Comforters, Great Daniel was quoted as saying that one of the managers at Eezee Conceptz physically assaulted him in a hotel room after he spoke in tongues on stage in Abia State.
It is a pity that such a budding music company that has recently given much hope to the propagation of gospel music through formal organization has fallen into such a quagmire.
Other gospel music groups have however emerged and we hope they learn from the struggles of Eezee Conceptz for the good of the broader music industry in Nigeria and Africa.
