Sinach Dragged to Court over Hit Song "Way Maker" | FACTS & OPINION

The story of Sinach being sued to court has already been all over the place, and everyone who follows music industry news in Nigeria has heard. The guy who  has dragged Sinach to court is Michael Oluwole, known by his stage name Mayolee , formerly Mayo MuziQ. He used to be a music producer, but has become a recording artiste, with songs published in streaming services since 2022 . Where is Panam Percy Paul❓

Gen Z and the newer one Gen A may not know the baba of gospel music known as Dr. Panam Percy Paul. But this was arguably Nigeria's lone voice at Africa's top echelon of gospel music from the 80s to the 90s. 

Today we know Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin, Mercy Chinwo, Frank Edwards, Tim Godfrey, and others, but none of them was born when Dr. Panam started music. And by the time they started singing, he was everyone's inspiration with songs like 'Bring Down Your Glory', 'Master of the Universe', 'By Your Bloood', 'Jesus', 'Come Let's Praise the Lord', many of the songs you sing in church today.

On this continent, this icon is one of gospel music's top legends alive. So, after almost 50 years of anointed talent, let's find out 'Where is Dr. Panam Percy Paul?'


A Man of God


Recently, Dr. Panam who is also a man of God with no known church denomination to his name, was on Twitter trends for courageously confronting the Muhammadu Buhari administration and announcing that God explained to him why Nigeria was governed by Buhari, in what many publishers referred to as a prophecy from Dr. Panam.

He explained that God told him Buhari represented the Biblical King Saul of Israel who was unintelligent, forsaken of God, and only a choice of the people. 

But that was 2 years ago.

Early this year 2023, when Pst. Paul Adefarasin prophesied about the approaching Nigerian presidential elections saying that God told him that King Saul would come before King David, drawing furious reactions from Nigerians on Twitter who would have preferred him to speak for a change, rather than a continuation of the ruling APC led Government.

The Twitter Nigerians went back and pulled out Dr. Panam Paul's prophecy to counter Paul Adefarasin's prophecy, claiming that 'Saul's time is up' and it is time for David.😊

The Accident

Sometime in November, and somewhere in Nigeria, Dr. Paul suffered a ghastly motor accident. The vehicle was practically crushed and condemned, and the man of God suffered some injuries that scared Nigerians who saw the photographs of the accident on Instagram.


But the man recovered and was discharged. 

According to reports, he is not likely to show up at large public events to minister for sometime, although no one really knows what his next plans are.

Thank God we did not lose this man at this time, after losing Sammie Okposo, just like yesterday.😢
